بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ قُلْ هُوَ ٱللَّهُ أَحَدٌ (1)

SAY: "He is the One God:

ٱللَّهُ ٱلصَّمَدُ (2)

"God the Eternal, the Uncaused Cause of All Being.

لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ (3)

"He begets not, and neither is He begotten;

وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُۥ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌۢ (4)

"and there is nothing that could be compared with Him.
